Happy 70th Birthday John Fogerty! (My little Carl's There Too!)

Happy 70th birthday John! Can you guess where my son is? LOL.

This is a very random post. I am a big fan of rock and roll music and with that I mean the music from 1960's up to maybe early 90's. I love The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith to name a few.  Little did I imagine that I would also be addicted to swamp rock. How?

Three years ago, I was watching American Idol Season 11 (where Jessica Sanchez came up as the runner up). Contestant, Phillip Phillips sang the songs "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and "Bad Moon Rising" with the man named, John Fogerty.

Since then I was hooked to his music. I followed his Facebook page, his Twitter account and lately, his Instagram too! (BTW, my dad's a fan of him as well and he loves singing his songs along with me and my four-year-old son, Carl). For those who aren't familiar with the man, he wrote and sang "Proud Mary" (I'm sure most of you know Tina Turner's version, yes?) and "Fortunate Son" (used in several films like Forest Gump and in the closing credits of Battleship)

I have also been planning to order some merchandise from his online store, JohnFogerty.com like his signature flannel shirt, a couple of tees and baseball caps. However, the tax would cost more than the actual price of what I'll be ordering (thank you Customs!) thus I have to save money for that first. (T_T)

And yes, last May 28, John Fogerty celebrated his 70th birthday. The man's 70! Yet he can still sing like he was 23. Fans all over the world was asked to send in their birthday greetings since they are creating his first virtual birthday card. I asked hubby to send in some photos of Carl with our hand-made greetings but being the lazy guy that he is, he sent just ONE!

There's my little Carl! Hooah! :)

I've been sick for two weeks and I just remembered to check my email only today. Upon checking though, I was really surprised and ecstatic to see my son's photo on his webpage! My son was also very excited to see that his idol has his picture posted on the web page. And even my dad. And my husband. LOL. We're all fans!

Well, you gotta refresh til you see the photo since the page will show you new different photos every time you visit. And as soon as I saw my son's picture, I immediately hit the 'Print-Screen' button to save it!

For the nth time, Happy birthday John! Keep on chooglin' (^-^)

BN Extreme Whitening Soap Review

In my search for whitening products that are affordable yet effective, I have come across BN Whitening Shoppe. BN stands for the owner's name, Bianca Naranjo who is from Davao City. I have read numerous reviews about their products (especially from Female Network where it has its own thread) and most revs was how effective their whitening soap is. Luckily I need not to order from Davao since they have already opened their branch in Farmer's Plaza Cubao! Even luckier because when I bought my first two soaps, they were on sale. I got 15% discount hence the price was down to Php 153 from the regular price of Php 180 per 220g bar.
